Why is this teaching LT? 03/16/2013 02:58 PM CDT
So my spear is in the shop getting repaired, I figured I'd go and collect some skins to tailor with later. For fun, I decided to break out the broadsword and start chucking it...

< Moving like a striking snake, you throw a tempered broadsword at a granite gargoyle. A granite gargoyle attempts to evade, only partially avoiding the impact.
The broadsword lands a powerful (11/23) strike that rips through muscle and organs, cutting the foe cleanly in half.

The steel broadsword lodges itself deeply into the granite gargoyle!
A granite gargoyle grumbles and falls over with a THUD.
[You're badly balanced]
[Roundtime 4 sec.]

I just thought it was slightly odd when I checked my experience...

Light Thrown: 15 05% examining (13/34)

I think it's slightly strange for a heavy-edged weapon to be teaching light thrown when throwing it.

What does the sword weigh? IIRC improvised throwing weapons teach LT or HT based on weight.

Which leads to some pretty hilarious 2he throwing weapons.

My favorite is 2HB weapons with puncture damage. Throw them and they lodge sometimes. It's always funny lodging a 2HB weapon in something's eye! This is what I use:

A steel vilks kodur is a two-handed blunt melee-ranged weapon.
A steel vilks kodur trains the two-handed blunt skill.

You are certain that it could do:
fair puncture damage
somewhat fair slice damage
extreme impact damage
