So messing around with alloys I managed to pop out this beauty of a weapon, its balanced and tempered

A balanced sabre with a tempered blade is a medium edged melee-ranged weapon.

You are certain that it could do:
heavy puncture damage
low slice damage
somewhat fair impact damage

You are certain that the sabre is reasonably balanced and is inadequately suited to gaining extra attack power from your strength.

You are certain that the steel-alloy sabre is appreciably susceptible to damage, and is in pristine condition.

This is it compared to an old forged sabre
You are certain that the sabre is about as strong as the steel-alloy sabre.
You are certain that the sabre is a little less balanced than the steel-alloy sabre.
You are certain that the sabre is about as suited to gaining extra attack power from your strength as the steel-alloy sabre.
You are certain that the sabre does about as much puncture damage as the steel-alloy sabre.
You are certain that the sabre does about as much slice damage as the steel-alloy sabre.
You are certain that the sabre does a little less impact damage than the steel-alloy sabre.
You think it is likely that the sabre weighs about the same as the steel-alloy sabre.

Unfortunately it rings in at 33 stones, have to mess with the mix to try and get it under 30. Mostly because the metal alloyed with it is heavier than steel.

The balance on the mix is too low for it not to balance it. I might just try a straight steel mix and then hone it to see if I can get better results.

Should give you a better idea of what you can get to.

Thanks, though now it makes me curious as to what it would compare against the 30 stone sabre. Since I made a high-carbon steel one that had heavy puncture, but mine read has having more puncture in the compare.

Probably have the same puncture as the 30 stone one, though.

Couldn't say for sure. Your's has a 3 stone advantage, but mine has a 5 hardness.

I haven't had time for any serious COMPARE tests, so I really couldn't say.

I'm basically working at the edges, trying to see what the max I can get through standard materials is, then I'll start on the middle stuff.

Happy to make you one if you want to compare yourself. ;)

Couple more MEs for you to look at -- pretty confident this is the best they get on damage w/o rare metals.

Sabre
(tempered, 37 stones):
You are certain that it could do:
very heavy puncture damage
low slice damage
somewhat fair impact damage
You are certain that the sabre is decently balanced and is decently suited to gaining extra attack power from your strength. You are certain that the steel sabre is appreciably susceptible to damage, and is in pristine condition.

Hand axe
(tempered, 43 stones):
You are certain that it could do:
low puncture damage
heavy slice damage
moderate impact damage

You are certain that the axe is inadequately balanced and is well suited to gaining extra attack power from your strength. You are certain that the hand axe is appreciably susceptible to damage, and is in pristine condition.

Just thought I'd say thanks for posting those and nice job and making that sabre/hand axe.

Tried to see if I could replicate something like that, either way its helping me play with the system better. But its nice to know what to aim for when looking for a mix.
