2HB training 12/27/2010 09:04 PM CST
I am looking for some advice on 2HB training. I am currently using an icon from the fest and despite it utterly pulverizing things it seems like I fill my pool very slowly. LT is literally twice as fast to lock so I was wondering if anyone who trains 2HB heavily finds it better to use a lightweight terrible weapon and get more/quicker light hits to train.

Any suggestions for a terrible weapon to buy so I can learn better? What would a min weight flail ground for slice or something silly app like?

Yes. Also, make use of low RT attack maneuvers.

There are some pretty low weight forged mattocks available. I think Ienna keeps some in her Crossing shop. Probably the best bang for the buck around in my opinion.

Unfortunately yes. The best weapons tend to location hit kill pretty quickly, and rob you of some experience. There's a number of ways to fix this, including changing weapons, but you can also try aiming for non-lethal locations, or lowering your attack stance.

Take a look at my stock and see if you like anything. I'm in the process of coming up with more stuff, but I'm willing to trade a new weapon for an old one, usually.

Caraamon that 33 stone flail looks like just the ticket. Is there any way you can forge them to be more balanced and less impact? I guess I need the least weight, most balanced, least damaging. It feels so weird to say that. RP'd the character as a HX shooting, khuj wielding, 2HB using Gor'tog Paladin and while its exciting to explode chests every other swing it leaves you sitting there waiting for things to respawn an awful lot.

We need a spell or ability that allows us to keep our strength to get lower RT on weapons but doesnt use it to cause damage. I have been debating never repairing my weapons but then I assume I would take a huge accuracy hit as well so it would sort of defeat the purpose.

Yes, but I highly doubt I can get even a full category more on balance. Blunts are just not balanced, and there's not a ton you can do about it. I'll make one tonight and let you know how it comes out.

This is what I got:

A flail is a two-handed blunt melee-ranged weapon.

You are certain that it could do:
poor puncture damage
dismal slice damage
heavy impact damage

You are certain that the flail is dismally balanced and is decently suited to gaining extra attack power from your strength.

You are certain that the flail is of average construction, and is in pristine condition.

The flail is made with metal.
You are certain that the flail weighs exactly 33 stones.

Cool I would love to buy one of those off of you.

I will hit up your aim later and see if I can catch you.

Can you believe the madness of us sitting here debating how to find the worst weapon to train better?

You probably could get even lower impact if you use a crappy mix.
