As we promised earlier, the shield formula has been changed.

Shield defense suffered the same problem that parry did earlier. There is now a much greater range of partial shield blocks. There has been no change to the effect where the shield can block part of the attack just because it's a big hunk of mass between you and your opponent.

As usual, this change applies to creatures as well as players.
