Stealth Breaks Engagement 06/13/2020 11:21 AM CDT
Why is it that there is no longer a contest to retreating with someone at melee range in stealth?

After some testing getting to melee in stealth allows the other person to walk away without needing to retreat.

Stalking someone while at melee clears the engagement when they move rooms.

Coming out of hiding from stealth at melee range still allows the other person to walk away.

Attacking from stealth at melee still doesn't require the other person to retreat, they just walk away.

I've bugged it, but this seems like this is something that was purposely put in. You used to not be able to retreat from someone if you did not have the perception to spot them in hiding at melee. You would get the message "You cannot retreat from someone you cannot see" or whatever the messaging was.

To add to this, if you advance on someone in the open, get to melee and hide they can walk away.

If you get to meleee in the open they cannot walk away, as soon as you hide they can walk away.

If you get to melee in the open, hide, then unhide, they can walk away regardless.
