is it possible to forage specific wood type sticks/limb/branches?

when I forage limbs it comes up almost every common and uncommon tree types, but it is always random, is there a way to get specific wood types?

No, that's what the lumberjacking system is for. Foraging will get you random, lower quality wood since it can be done quickly and just about anywhere.

If you could pick a specific type of wood to forage then there wouldn't be a lot of incentive to use the lumberjacking system.

Just via lumberjacking. Foraging is meant to be random, low quality woods so that it doesn't step on the toes of lumberjacking.

right o. I use the foraged stuff for trainin purposes, just wind up scrolling the heck out of a room while I match up a specific type of lumber
