Modern Feral Sorcery lore 05/08/2020 01:19 AM CDT
In light of the new 'flare?' tome that enchants weapon by way of feral sorcery, can we get an IC lore dump on how feral sorcery works now (lorewise) and how the general (mage player character) public views it? Applying current sorcery lore it's crazy as heck but how crazy is it? (compared to way back in the day when Toad/Frog and invasions where the most we saw of feral sorc).

Obviously townspeople are horrified if they know what's going on; I'm more interested in how a (sane/insane) PC character should react.

Asking because when you're holding very public meetings in the heart of bureaucracy (Crossing Town Hall) about how to best utilize feral sorcery enchantments that suggests that the provincial leadership and justice system is down with feral sorcery.

Seems similar to a Necromancer's method of mana manipulation, and likely should be viewed as such. Especially if it's not well understood, as it's common practice to persecute, destroy, defame and otherwise abolish anything that the majority doesn't follow or understand.
