The chance for an area to spawn Very Rare mats is quite low. Statistically, you should have found some by now, though it is possible another miner was clearing them ahead of you.

It is much easier to get rare mats periodically while mining, particularly if you've invested with Luck bonusing items.

If it helps, I did find a glaes vein in dancers a few weeks ago.

I was going room to room randomly using prospect, and I saw this:

It looks like someone else was mining before I showed up; however, I wasn't able to mine it out entirely. I ran out to get healed, and it was gone by time I came back. This is the first time I've ever found a glaes node, and only the second time ever that I have found a rare metal node.

How many volumes of rare metals do you find when you come across them?

Same as any vein, really. At least, I haven't noticed a difference.

For whatever reason, I find Kertig way more than the other rare mats. In the last couple weeks with periodic mining, ive found less than 15 volume of all non kertig combined. I've found more than 20 volume of kertig in that same time frame though. (this is total volume, not total nuggets). I'm sure one of these weeks I'll find another rare metal in abundance and strike out with Kertig.
