Will Fens in Lange ever get their target spell back? That was some of the most enjoyable hunting I've done, now they seem to easy.

they used TKT+moon slivers

basically they'd pull a quill out and it'd act like the slivers from a moonblade in where the spell would choose the quill before anything on the ground.

Ouch. Yeah, definitely a bottom of the list thing there, no rush to get that out. No, really. Drop that keyboard!

Wouldn't defenses help more? <G>

::shakes head sadly:: So few understand the Barbarian Way. You don't need no stinkin' defenses if the enemy is dead!

Actually.. I think that's more the warmie way.. which is why our defenses naturally have a propensity to suck. Kill too fast to have any use for multi opp.. insta kill! ::cackles::

Warrior Mages fully spelled up have some of the highest defenses of the realms...so no

I don't mean to argue, but that's kind of a silly argument. That warrior mage philosophy of kill first dodge later is built it, our skillsets only give us one secondary defense parry (two if you care to include multi-opp) whereas barbs have all defenses in every single one of their main skillsets, parry primary, evasion, and shield/armor secondary. Plus their dancing abilities enhance those innate abilities much more. I'm sure there may be exceptions if you compare a well trained warmie to a not quite so well trained barb.. but the potential is much higher, even with spells like SW, YS, SUF and such. I've done some testing on SW and you can get quite a few rank boost, but that's pretty much an exception to the general trend. Don't believe me if you like, this is my last post on the matter, so I appologize for bringing it back up.

It's been stated before:
Dont try and compare guilds with one another.
The game isn't built around PvP.
Each has it's own style and quirks.
The spells that augment a war mages ability to parry, dodge and maintain balance is dependant on time, skill and mana available.
The guild is balanced against the game mechanics, not against other guilds.
