Braiding and Invisibility 07/21/2014 09:44 AM CDT

But that would give away your hiding place!

...right. If braiding needs to break invisibility, fine. It just seems silly to prevent braiding completely.

Ideally, it would work like this:

I> hum ruff
You fade into visibility.
You begin to hum some quiet scales with only the slightest hint of difficulty.

It's not a big deal except that you can't just release EOTB, so it's a bit annoying.

Stranger yet, you can continue to braid once invisible, it's just the initial step that has the invisibility check:

You confidently braid your grass, certain that you are making excellent progress.
You think it is likely that the braided grass isn't usable for anything yet.

I use a non-effectual command that pulls out of invis before starting brading which I think will work for you too since EOTB I think pulses back to invisibility like RF E.g.:

> lock asdf
> braid grass

It's not as useful as releasing was but you can remove EOTB with a second cast of sufficient mana.

Though for braiding specifically I'd use something similar to what ABSOLON posted and just let it reform.
